PAPER

Coming from a family of bookbinders, the paper has always played a special role for me. I am fascinated by paper as a medium to transport memories and tell stories. It is a delicate material and yet incredibly strong and sculptural.

As a child, I watched my grandmother bind books with a needle and thread. I was struck, confused and fascinated by that sight, wondering why she sewed the paper as if it were textile. The charm of that vision remained with me over time.
